Mainlander Property Management ([please apply online] is a leader in managing single-family residential homes. We are a well established business with a successful history servicing the Portland Metro Area.

At this time, we are searching for a Business Development and Property Manager to join our Newberg office: Access Property Management [please apply online] The Access Team services those in Newberg and surrounding areas, primarily in Yamhill County.

This position will be responsible for finding and nurturing new clients to build the Access portfolio of rental properties. They will also assist in the day-to-day operations of a busy portfolio of single-family homes and condos. It is a fast paced environment and requires strong organization and attention to details.

Sales and/or Marketing experience is strongly preferred for this position, though training will be provided. During training, candidates will primarily be in our Access Newberg office, though will need to spend a set time in the Mainlander office in Lake Oswego as well.

Priority will be given to candidates who currently have an Oregon Property Management license. Those candidates willing to obtain this license within 6 months after hire will also be strongly considered.

The best candidate will possess the following qualities:

Duties for Business Development:

  • Create and manage all marketing information for new properties
  • Create property descriptions, set pricing, and set special terms
  • Onboard and activate all incoming properties
  • Take marketing photos for properties
  • Responsible for all PNO communication
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all properties
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Manager
  • Research new opportunities for growth
  • Participate in Continued Education (CE) classes as recommended
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in compliance with all local, state, and federal housing laws

Duties for Property Management:

  • Marketing and advertising of vacant properties
  • Bring in new business and/or properties
  • Generate reports showing the performance of properties
  • Review lease documentation for completeness
  • Facilitate communication with property owners
  • Oversee all maintenance and expenditures for the team
  • Ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and Oregon Landlord Tenant Law

  • Sales and/or marketing experience

  • Excellent and prompt communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Communicate well with a diverse range of personalities
  • Strong interpersonal and telephone skills

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
